Room 2 has been completing different STEM challenges as part of our Topic Study. The children can tell you what STEM stands for as well. We started our new learning off with a whanau fun day, where our families came to school and completed various challenges.
Last week the students in Room 2 had to build the strongest tower out of plastic cups and wooden blocks. We had 10 minutes to plan and build our towers.
We had to work together as a team. Miss Poi wanted to test to tower the towers by throwing manaaki balls at them We thought this was a great idea - but decided to bust them ourselves.
Destroying the towers!
The winner:
The strongest tower designed by the boys: Gallace, Kauri and Brooklyn. |
Dear Room 2,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have been really busy leaning about science and technology. And what a good test to see who had the strongest tower. Well done Gallace, Kauri and Brooklyn!

I like that your whanau came in and did challenges with you.
