Animation

This week Koka Amie taught us how to make our own animations using Google Slides. We picked it up super fast, experimented with different shapes and colours and even had a go at grouping and ungrouping our creations. Here are a few of our animations. The awesome dinosaur above was created by Phoenyx (Year 3)

Autumn Leaves Poetry:

This week we created Autumn Poems during our Cyber Smart lesson with Koka Amie. We had to "drag and drop" different words to form our poems. We also had to use Loom to record our poems, then create a link from our slide to our video.

Google Drawings - Profile Pictures.

Room 2 have been working on their profile pictures using Google Drawings. We are getting quite good at creating different shapes and inventing fun colour schemes. Check out our mahi!

Cybersmart Monsters

Cybersmart lessons with Koka Amie.

We have been learning how use different tools in Google Drawings. We created our very own monsters using shapes, lines, patterns and colours. We also practiced using some of our short cuts to copy and paste -  to make sure our monster body parts remained the same, and to save time. Some of us recorded a short clip using Loom to talk about our monsters.

Cyber Smart Lessons: Week 9

Practicing our new skills...

This week during our Cyber Smart Lesson, Room 2 learnt how to use the "Voice Typing"  tool in a Google Docs, as well as inserting a picture using the "Explore" tool. We practiced making copies and renaming our mahi. 

We are super lucky, and received 10 new Chromebooks - now everyone gets to work on a device at the same time. So for manaaki today, we used the Chromebooks and used voice typing to record "how we show manaaki".  We also found pictures of the beach (using the explore tool) and talked about ourselves and the beach. Check out some of our mahi.

Caring For Our Devices

Room 2 have been thinking about how we show manaakitanga with our devices.

We are creating a "Kawa of Care" to help us look after our devices.
We used the computers to write down our ideas.

Then we turned these into positive "doing" comments...
