Autumn Poems

Cyber Smart Mahi

Autumn Leaves Poetry:

This week we created Autumn Poems during our Cyber Smart lesson with Koka Amie. We had to "drag and drop" different words to form our poems. We also had to use Loom to record our poems, then create a link from our slide to our video.

  1. Dear Room 2,
We are Room 4 from Makauri School.
We liked how you made some videos about your leaves in Autumn.
We have made poems just like these in our class.
We really liked how you did your poems and recorded them.

  2. Dear Room 2,
Wow! I loved reading your poems and then to listen to you reading them was so amazing.
I liked how clear your voices were. Did you have to practise lots to do this?
Tell Koka Amie that I have made a Winter Poem template because I was so inspired by your work. You might like to make some winter poems too. Let me know if you do - I would love to see/listen to them.
I want to do this with video recording with a class at another school. What advice would you give them?

  3. Kia Ora Koka Cheryl. We used Loom to record our poems. We had to practise reading our poems lots of times. The best place to record our poems was outside because it was too noisy in class, but nice and quiet outside. If we didn't like our video, we deleted it and had to redo it. From Nahkeishar

Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments:
Positive - something done well
Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say
Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about

We are learners at Elgin School. This is a place where we will be able share our learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just our first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. We would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Ngā mihi nui,
