Winter Slippers

Winter Slippers

My Oma (nan) knitted our class slippers so we can have warm feet when we're at school. She made 50 pairs, so my class got half and my sisters class got the other half. She has knitted slippers for other schools in Whakatane and Napier as well. I think my Oma is very kind because she makes slippers for other kids and wants them to be happy. Hi girls, your nanna has been busy. That has been a BIG job for her. Looks like she likes to knit. I knit these slippers also. Our little knitting group do them for the children at Tolaga Bay. Do miss you all and look forward to reading your Blog to keep up with all the good things Elgin School continue to do. Hi to your classes. Arohanui Mrs P.

  4. Kia ora Room 2,
we are Room 4 at Makauri School.
We like how your nan made your slippers. We think she must be a very fast knitter.
How long did it take for her to knit 50 pairs of slippers?
Where does she get all her wool from?
    We loved the word "manaaki".
We think your nan is the best slipper knitter

  5. Hi Room 2 this is Room 9 from @ glen innes school. I really like how you used colourful stuff to make a circle an it is very, very nice to see a rainbow just like up the sky. You were putting in lots of hard work in it and you worked really hard in it. We wish you a good luck in everything else you are going to do. Hope you have a wonderful time making colourful stuff on your blog. Thank you Room 2 for sharing it on your room 2 blog. We really like it.

Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments:
Positive - something done well
Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say
Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about

We are learners at Elgin School. This is a place where we will be able share our learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just our first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. We would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Ngā mihi nui,
