Tuhi Mai, Tuhi Atu

Tuhi Mai, Tuhi Atu:

Week 1: Term 4:
This week has been a busy one for Room 2. We have moved into the library as our class is getting a new roof and walls. This week we practiced our earthquake drills, as we took part in the big shake out. We are also getting ready for our local Kapa Haka festival, athletics and our Marae Noho - which are all in the next few weeks.

This term we are also part of the Tuhi Mai, Tuhi Atu program - where we buddy up with other manaiakalani classes and follow each others learning blogs. This term we are following Room 1 from Kawakawa School. Below is a little slide show introducing our class to our new friends.

  1. Kia ora Room 2. We are Room 1 at Kawakawa Primary School. We love your slide show and have had fun watching it and meeting the students in your class. Room 1 thinks it's interesting that you are using the library as your classroom. We can't wait to hear how your kapa haka festival, athletics and marae noho goes. We are excited to be your buddy class for Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu and can't wait to share our learning with you this term. Have an awesome day from Room 1.

I am SUPER impressed with your visual mihis. Tumeke! It's great to read that your blogging buddies at Kawakawa Primary loved your slideshow too. I can make lots of connections with you by looking at your visual mihis. I love your orange uniform - it is so bright and makes me feel happy! When do you think you will be moving into your new classroom?

Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments:
Positive - something done well
Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say
Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about

We are learners at Elgin School. This is a place where we will be able share our learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just our first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. We would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Ngā mihi nui,
Room 2 @Elgin School.
